Five Minute Makeover

Do you have an hour or longer to dedicate to primping in the morning?

How about 30 minutes?

How about 10 minutes or less?

If you said yes to the first option, don't tell anyone because they will be jealous and spew dirty looks your way! And if you answered yes to the second, well, you're not too far down on the jealous hatred scale either. But if you answered yes to the third, which is more than likely, then I have a few tips for you today to help you maximize your time and look while minimizing the amount of products you use.

Versatility. It's something we look for when car shopping, home shopping and even clothing shopping, but when it comes to cosmetics, for some reason the beauty industry has us convinced that we need a different product, tool, brush, palette, shade, color etc. for nearly every section of our face.

While it may be fun to be all "Gotta catch 'em all," when it comes to a complete, everyday makeup look, less really is MORE! And I don't mean less coverage or color. I mean fewer products to achieve the same look you've always done and in less time!

Can I get an "Amen?"

You hear me talk about SeneGence products a lot, but one of the biggest reasons why I am such a fan of their cosmetic line is its inherent versatility.  For example, their Tinted Moisturizer not only evens out my skin tone and provides light coverage (avoiding the need for full foundation), but it also moisturizes my skin and makes my face smooth and soft!

And when I found out all of the ways in which I could use SeneGence's cream to powder finish eyeshadows (ShadowSense) alone, I was immediately hooked! One shadow in particular is the key to this everyday look -- Candlelight!

Candlelight ShadowSense can be use as a light, natural eyeshadow color; an eye primer; under-eye concealer/highlighter; blemish concealer; and cheek/brow highlighter!

Yup! You read that correctly! One little tube of eyeshadow can be ALL of those things!!! Talk about a timesaver!! And I use it to its full potential! Why grab five products to use when I only need ONE?!

The next product I use for my Five Minute Makeover routine is yet another shadow - Mulberry! This gorgeous mauve/pink tone can be used as a shadow and/or blush! Again, 2 products for the price and time of ONE! Now, if you're partial to powder blush, I highly recommend Becca Mineral Blush, which can also be used as both a blush and eyeshadow, but it doesn't last quite as long as it's not water-resistant like ShadowSense is.

For the eyes, if I want to go beyond the natural Candlelight ShadowSense that I can swoop over my lids as I'm using it as a concealer/highlighter, I usually go for a beige tone like Moca Java Matte or Moca Java Shimmer if I want a little sparkle. But what I wanted to point out here is that you can use yet another shadow (Onyx) as an eyeliner, too! Another two for one product in the ShadowSense category! If I'm really rushed for time, though, I grab my LashSense (waterproof mascara) and run it along my bottom lashes to give the appearance of eyeliner and then use on my top lashes to lengthen and curl!

Finally, I finish with a good lip color! First Love LipSense if I'm going for a matte, natural look or something like Purple Reign or Kiss for a Cause if I want a true pop of color! LipSense is waterproof, smudge-proof and budge-proof, so I know that once I put it on for the day, that's it! No need to re-apply color even after eating, drinking or kissing my baby boys!

So in total, if you wanted an easy, natural, everyday makeup look, you really only need four products- Tinted Moisturizer, ShadowSense, LashSense and LipSense! Done!
